Arts and Culture in the Northwest Hills of Connecticut

I know what you are thinking…there is no art outside of the major metro areas. You will happily discover how very wrong you are!  (In a good way!)  There is a bounty of arts and culture in every form. Look around…there are sculptures everywhere and at every party you go to, you will be surrounded by amazing artists of all kinds. There are more writers, painters, potters, crafters and poets per square inch in the NW Corner than just about anywhere in the universe.

Every weekend, there is a plethora of artistic and cultural offerings, from gallery openings, poetry readings, plays and exhibits. And chances are, the artist will be right there to discuss his or her viewpoints on art and offer a lively conversation.  No, you will not be shortchanged in the arts and culture here – if anything you will find yourself happily steeped in every form of art you can imagine…and you won’t have to stand on line to see it.
